Brad and I feel very blessed to have some really terrific friends and family
who have been wildly supportive of our decision to adopt.

We wanted to publicly throw a BIG THANK YOU out there to those of you who
were willing to take the time and energy to provide such sterling
referral letters for our home study paperwork.
It means more to us than you know!

谢谢

lather. rinse. repeat…

Well, the last several weeks have been like that scene from "Groundhog Day" where Bill Murray is forced to live the same day over and over again…

We have learned that China likes to add additional requirements randomly and without warning...such as HIV/Aids screening and 10 additional hours of adoption/Hague training.

Remember one of the extra-great perks to adopting (or so I thought) was getting to skip those doctors appointments, needles and blood suckers? FALSE. At least the second appointment to our doctors office didn't require a hospital gown, so for that, I am thankful.

And thank you, China, the training is actually really eye-opening and informative - all about what to expect when adopting internationally. So much information! I prefer to be informed and have realistic expectations...so, we're planning for the worst and hoping for the best. That's my style - optimistically pessimistic...it works for me, anyway.

So, how's the rest of my night look? Pretty much the same as every other night...work, research, Hague training, sleep for a while, repeat the next day! oh and checking the Holt Waiting Child list for updates...that is an addiction…love those babies
